The New Core is COMPLETE!

I finished laying the plywood core just before lunch today! Below you can see that I cover the freshly epoxied plywood pieces with a trash bag that I had ripped down the seams and then placed sand bags on top to hold the plywood in position and help assure a good band between the orginal fiberglass hull and the wood. The plastic bag does not bond with the epoxy and will allow be to easily peal it off in the morning. Using 1 gal. zip lock bags to hold the sand creates easy to handle flat, conformable weights (the white one simply has condensation on the inside of the bag because the sand was damp). Next step will be to prep for the new fiberglass cloth to go down (wipe down with acetone, sand smooth, and wipe with acetone again).
